corsair_reveal_new_carbide_540_chassis_at_computexOfficial website of Corsair says that,

The unconventional design of Carbide Series Air 540 utilizes dual chambers to deliver cooler air to your CPU, graphics cards, motherboard, and memory without your drives or power supply getting in the way. The included custom Air Series AF140L intake and exhaust fans provide great airflow performance at lower noise levels than typical case fans. And, you can mount up to six 120mm or five 140mm fans, with 280mm top radiator support and room for a 360mm radiator on the front panel.

Corsair involved in talks with Francisco Partners for a possible buyout

A recently submitted regulatory filing suggests that Francisco Partners are currently in talks with Corsair about a possible buyout. This scenario comes after Corsair indefinitely postponed an IPO after the flop of the Facebook IPO. At the same time they have said that they would

relaunch when equity conditions are more favorable.

Now it appears that they are possibly choosing a buyout over an IPO. Corsair could be heavily affected by the current downturn in the PC market, resulting in the need for a new way of cash infusion. Francisco Partners was part of the Blackstone Group who decided to not make a formal buyout offer for Dell.

It is possible that nothing could come of these talks. On the other hand, Corsair could end up being sold out, which will result in changes within the company or in the products they currently sell.

Corsair Introduces new Hydro Series H110 and H90 Liquid CPU Coolers

They say bigger is better. Corsair also thinks so. Today they proved that by releasing two of their flagship CPU coolers, named H90 and H110. With huge radiator cooling surfaces areas of 140 mm and 280 mm respectively and specially designed 140 mm low-speed, high static pressure fans, the new coolers deliver superior CPU cooling and quieter operation than smaller 120 mm designs.

The Corsair Hydro Series H90 is a single width 140x140mm model that comes with a single 140mm fan, making it the bigger version of the H55.

The Corsair Hydro Series H110, like H90 is a low-noise, high-performance liquid CPU cooler with a double-length 280×140 mm radiator. The H110 radiator’s large surface area provides more contact room for heat dissipation than Hydro Series H100, H100i and for side-by-side mounting of dual fans. Each fan is a specially-designed low-speed 140 mm static pressure fan, which moves much more air per decibel of noise than 120 mm fans of H100 and H100i. The H110 fits cases with dual 140 mm top fan mounts and 20 mm screw spacing.

The Hydro Series H110 and H90 liquid coolers feature an enhanced copper cold plate with soaks up heat more efficiently than previous generation designs. Both coolers are compatible with most modern CPU platforms including AMD AM2, AM3, AM3+, FM1 and FM2 and Intel LGA 1155, LGA 1156, LGA 1366, and LGA 2011. ( No official support for LGA775, but one can use it.)

“Many PC enthusiasts choose liquid cooling for its extreme cooling efficiency and quiet operation,” said Thi La, Senior VP and GM of Memory and Enthusiast Component Products at Corsair. “To take liquid cooling the next level, we super-sized the Hydro Series H110 and H90, providing users our best cooling-to-noise ratio ever.”
